Although the Primeira Liga ended three days ago, clubs are already planning for the 2021/2022 season.
Boavista has completed the five million euro (₦2.5 billion) signing of Super Eagles defender Chidozie Awaziem from FC Porto.
Awaziem was on loan from Porto to Estádio do Bessa last season, but Boavista had the choice to sign him permanently.
Os Axadrezados have now exercised the option by paying ₦2.5 billion to get Awaziem. The move comes as no surprise, as Awaziem was instrumental in Boavista's fruitful fight to escape relegation from Portugal's top flight.
As Jesualdo Ferreira's team finished 13th with 36 points, Awaziem played 27 times for him, leading the team out four times.
The 24-year-initial old's deal with Porto is set to expire in 2022, but Boavista has agreed to sign him on a permanent basis.

He could also leave the club this summer, as a number of clubs are interested in signing him. However, it is unclear if Boavista will be willing to sell their precious possession.
