Oshoala and 24 others to play in a tour of the United States, but Super Falcons star Oparanozie is once again snubbed.

Desire Oparanozie

The France-based forward has not represented the Nigeria national team since the end of the 2019 World Cup, and he will not travel to the United States next month.

In a preliminary list of 25 players for the upcoming Summer Series tour of the United States of America, Super Falcons head coach Randy Waldrum has included team captain Asisat Oshoala, veteran defender Onome Ebi, and ten home-based stars.

Desire Oparanozie, a Dijon forward, has been left out of the squad that will face four-time world champions the USA, Portugal, and Jamaica in June.

Since leading a sit-in protest over unpaid bonuses and salaries at the 2019 World Cup in France, the 27-year-old has been in trouble with Nigerian football authorities.

As a result, she was not selected for the Turkish Women's Cup, which the nine-time African champions lifted in February, as part of a 23-player team.

Below is the list of selected players to go for the tour.

The continent's most prolific national team, with nine African championships, will play Jamaica in their first match of the tournament on June 10 before facing Portugal three days later.

On June 16, the Super Falcons will play four-time FIFA Women's World Cup champions USA in their final match.
