Paul Onuachu has been named the best player in belguim pro league

Genk forward Paul Onuachu has won the Jupiler Pro League Professional Footballer of the Year award for the 2020/21 season.

The 26-year-old won the individual prize ahead of Club Brugge's Noa Lang and Beerschot's Raphael Holzhauser.

Following a successful campaign for Genk, Onuachu was also awarded the Golden Shoe Award.

 In 38 league appearances for the Smurfs, the Nigeria international scored 33 goals and provided five assists.

The Nigeria international was instrumental in Genk winning the Belgian Cup and finishing second in the league behind Club Brugge.

The 26-year-old won the individual prize ahead of Club Brugge's Noa Lang and Beerschot's Raphael Holzhauser.
