The Nigerian striker has been a revelation for Genk this season, and he could be rewarded for his individual achievements soon.
After a stellar season with KRC Genk, Super Eagles striker Paul Onuachu has been named among the three finalists for the 2020/21 Pro Footballer of the Year trophy.
Noa Lang of Club Brugges and Raphael Holzhauser of Beerschot are the other two nominees.
Lang, a summer signing from Ajax, is an elegant 21-year-old attacking midfielder who led Brugges to the league title with 16 goals and 11 assists in all competitions.
During the first half of the season, Holzhauser was the driving force behind newly promoted Beerschot's unprecedented rise to the top of the table, scoring 16 goals and providing 16 assists in 34 games.
Onuachu of Genk, on the other hand, is the favorite for the prestigious award.
