Samuel Chukwueze joined the numerous lists of Nigerian players who have won the UEFA Europa League after his club, Villarreal defeated Manchester United in the final of the 2020-2021 UEL season on Wednesday.
Despite the fact that the 22-year-old Nigerian international missed the final due to an ankle injury suffered in the semi-final against Arsenal, his teammates did well to defeat Manchester United in a thrilling match.
He was seen celebrating and dancing on the field after the match.

Gerrard Moreno opened the scoring for the Yellow Submarines on the 29th minute, before Edison Cavani pulled United back into the game with a second-half equalizer. There were no more goals in the game, but the Yellow Submarines won the shootout 11-10 after 120 minutes.
Chukwueze is the sixth Nigerian to win the trophy, following Mikel Obi, Victor Moses, Nwankwo Kanu, Taribo West, and Chidi Odiah. It is also Villarreal's first European title, but it is the UEFA Cup/Europa League title for their coach, Unai Emery.
