The FC Union Berlin star has just returned from a loan spell in Germany, but he could be on the move once more.
In reference to Voetball, Belgian pro league giant, R.S.C. Anderlecht had a 2.5 billion naira (€5 million) bid for Nigerian striker Taiwo Awoniyi which was swiftly rejected by Liverpool.
Awoniyi has never hidden his desire to play for Liverpool, but he has yet to make an appearance for the club since joining them six years ago.
However, it appears that Liverpool will not be retaining his services for much longer, as the dethroned Premier League champions are open to offers for Nigerian striker Taiwo Awoniyi.
According to reports, Liverpool wants more than the five million euros offered by Anderlecht. They would almost certainly be willing to let the Super Eagles leave permanently for twice that amount.
Awoniyi has impressed all sports lovers and football clubs during loan spells in the Netherlands, Belgium, and Germany, and he should not be short of suitors when the summer transfer window opens.
